Human Rights

I'm most proud of my work as a human rights lawyer.

I led a team of Yale students to document human rights abuses in the prisons in Pakistan. We gathered evidence of systemic human rights violations in the prisons of the Punjab Province of northern Pakistan in partnership with Justice Project Pakistan. My team convinced future Prime Minister Imran Khan to read our writing in front of thousands of people at a rally in Lahore in 2013 -- and guided our local partner human rights lawyer to speak on prime-time Pakistani television. See our writing (link 1, 2, 3) and public coverage (link).

Separately, I worked on a grant from the Open Society to change rules in the Irish school system to improve access for children with disabilities. My team and I worked in partnership with the Mental Disability Advocacy Centre.
