I went to a networking event with a gathering of

successful tech founders.

The speakers tried to be funny and entertaining, 

But their statements came off as “douchey” and “rude”.

In Silicon Valley, many people who become successful

pick up a lot of “douche” behavior.

This happens all the time.

 

How does one become successful – without becoming a douche?

 

Key is to develop empathy.

 

The most successful tech CEOs are all sociopaths.

Sociopathic engineering is probably necessary

to create outlier success in tech.
