And see stories about negative events around the world.

incompetence of our poliiticans;

bad habits in mainstream society;

and the erosion of standards around us.

Increasingly I focus on sports and ignore the news;

Skill rises to the top in sports.​

It is inspiring to watch focused and dedicated athletes;

the strivers who make the most of opportunities.

​

Watch a focused and dedicated athlete strive to be the best;

He hacks through unfair positions and complicated dynamics.

​

This is more true in sports where there is open access;

Sports like basketball, world football, American football, cricket.

​

These sports are open to anyone;

Top athletes typically arise from humble early beginnings.

​

Competitive sports cultivates a way of thinking, habits, 

and compelling personality traits;

This is a philosophy for life.
